TheUnexpectedTurn
ItwasabeautifuldayinMay,andIwasenjoyingabikeridethroughthepark.AsIwascruisingdownthehill,Ihitabumpandlostcontrolofmybike.Iwascatapultedoffmybikeandlandedwithathudontheground.
AsIlaythere,dazedandconfused,agroupofpeoplerushedovertohelpme.Amongthemwasayoungmanwhohappenedtobeadoctor.HecheckedmeoveranddeterminedthatIneededtogotothehospital.
Longstoryshort,myinjuriesweremuchworsethanIhadthought.Ispentseveraldaysinthehospitalrecoveringfromaconcussionandbrokenribs.Duringthattime,theyoungdoctorvisitedmeeveryday,bringingmeflowersandchattingwithme.Wehititoff,andbeforeIknewit,weweredating.
Thatchanceaccidentturnedouttobethebestthingthateverhappenedtome.Ifoundtheloveofmylifebychance,andIcouldn'tbehappier.
Lifeisfullofsurprises,andweneverknowwhat'saroundthecorner.Butifwe'reopentoit,thosechanceencountersandunexpectedturnscanchangeourlivesforthebetter.
