FirstEncounterwiththeBunny
ItwasatypicalTuesdaymorningwhenIwalkedintomyclassroomandsawasmall,furrycreaturesittingonastudent'sdesk.Ithoughtitwasastuffedanimalatfirst,butthenitblinkedandtwitcheditsnose.Itwasarealbunny!Mystudent,Maria,explainedthatherfamilyhadjustboughtthebunnyandshewantedtoshowitofftotheclass.Atfirst,Iwashesitanttohaveananimalintheclassroom,butthebunnywassocalmandwell-behavedthatIcouldn'tresistpettingit.Itsfurwassosoftandfluffy,anditsearsweresolongandvelvetythatIcouldhardlybelieveitwasreal.
WeeklyVisitsfromtheBunny
Afterthefirstencounter,thebunnybecamearegularvisitortoourEnglishclass.Mariawouldbringitinonceaweekandletitroamaroundtheroomwhilewedidourlessons.Itwasamazinghowthebunnyseemedtounderstandthatitwassupposedtobequietduringclasstime.Itwouldhopupontoastudent'slapandcuddlewhilewereadbooks,andthenitwouldjumpdownandnibbleonthegrassinanearbyplanterwhilewepracticedourvocabularywords.Thestudentslovedhavingthebunnythere,anditcreatedarelaxedandcomfortableenvironmentintheclassroom.

Unfortunately,Maria'sfamilyhadtomoveawayattheendoftheschoolyear,takingthebunnywiththem.Itwasasaddaywhenwesaidgoodbyetoourlittlefurryfriend,butithadmadeanimpactonourclassroomthatwouldneverbeforgotten.IstillthinkbackfondlyonthedayswhenthebunnywouldhopintoourEnglishclassandprovideuswithhoursofentertainmentandjoy.It'samazinghowasmallcreaturecantouchtheheartsofsomanypeople,andIwillalwaysbegratefultohavemetthesoftestbunnyintheworld.
