Onecommonsituationwherewefeelpowerlessisinourrelationships.Wemayhavelovedoneswhoaregoingthroughatoughtime,butwecan'tfixtheirproblemsforthem.Itisfrustratingtowatchsomeonewecareaboutstruggleandfeellikethereisnothingwecandotohelp.Wemayalsofindourselvesintoxicrelationshipsorsituationswherewefeeltrappedwithnowayout.Thisfeelingofpowerlessnessisemotionallydrainingandcantakeatollonourmentalhealth. Whenwefeelpowerless,itisimportanttoacceptthesituationasitis.Itmaybedifficulttoletgoofthedesireforcontrol,butacceptingthatwecan'talwaysbeinchargeisliberating.Acceptancedoesnotmeangivingup,butratheracknowledgingthatwecannotchangeeverythingandfocusingonwhatwecancontrol.
